Completing an Assignment
Once you've uploaded a piece of work to your assignment's Shared Folder, all of your students will be able to tap on it and edit their own version of that file.

You can move around a document by swiping with two fingers. You can also zoom in and out this way too.

Students can use the Pen tool from the menu bar to draw on a document using their fingers, just like pen on paper. They can also use the Eraser tool to remove any mistakes they've made.

Your students are able to edit pieces of work that you give them in other apps. To do this, they tap on the 'Share' icon which looks like a Square with an arrow pointing up, then tapping 'Open In'. This allows them to open a document in Microsoft Word or Pages, for example.

Your students can then submit files to you via Showbie that they have either edited or created from scratch using other iPad apps. There are two ways to do this.

The first way is to look for the 'Share' icon in another app, which looks like a Square with an arrow pointing up, then tapping 'Open In'. You will then have the option to submit your work into Showbie.

The second way is to ask you students to take a 'Screenshot' of their work, and submit that to you from their Camera Roll. This will ensure that you can mark it using Showbie.

To take a screenshot on an iPad, press both the 'Power' and 'Home' button at the same time. The iPad's screen will flash, and a picture of your screen will be saved to the Camera Roll. Your student can then submit this to Showbie from their Photo Library.
